Ticking All the Boxes in the Technologies Division

Loyalty and staff longevity are some of the many qualities that make the team at Freemans Event Partners thrive in the industry. We’re proud of our heritage and encourage each and every individual, across a wide range of departments, to reach their full potential and benefit from the many advantages that we have to offer as a company.

Lee is one particular example, and this year celebrates his sixth year with Freemans Event Partners. Starting as an Event Lead he was promoted to Senior Event Lead, demonstrating his dedication and expertise in technologies that keep over 400 events a year operating from start to finish flawlessly, whilst keeping customer satisfaction levels high across sporting and entertainment events in venues such as Silverstone and Wembley.

As a 3rd Line Field Engineer, it’s his responsibility within the Technologies division to deploy and support a variety of POS/Payment technologies and temporary networks to enable seamless payments. He’s one of our go-tos for providing on-site technical support to our system users by troubleshooting issues and resolving challenging hardware and software problems for our vendors. It’s thanks to Lee and others within the team that systems and equipment for our clients’ infrastructure are installed, maintained and modified to a high quality to deliver fantastic results.

When asked what makes our Technologies team so unique, Lee says: “Every day is different and we’re a great team. We’re really leading the way in the event technologies industry. On a typical day on-site at an event, it’s important to be on top of things, ready to go and sort out any problems when needed straight away. The set-up ahead of the event is key knowing that hundreds of thousands of people will be using our tills and payment solutions.”

There are many main duties that come with the role itself such as out-of-the-box thinking to fix problems at a moment’s notice and the ability to digest information, understand large-scale situations, and have the right skills to communicate with non-technical resources. An achievement that can be made both on-site and remotely. His proven track record of resolving and managing critical incidents is what makes him one of many valued members of the Freemans Event Partners Team.

Of course, we always want to give back and make our workforce feel appreciated. We do this through a number of ways such as a 28-day holiday allowance plus bank holidays on top, life cover, income protection, company pension schemes and an employee assistance programme. As well as this we also provide access to Medicash, a healthcare cash plan, the opportunity to earn extra money with our refer-a-friend programme, and fortnightly team lunches and regular social activities. One of the biggest perks is the chance to be involved with a number of the UK’s most exciting and prestigious sporting events and festivals. As for Lee, one of his favourite benefits of the role is the Access All Accreditation for the events we support – a huge job perk!

At Freemans Event Partners we currently have a vacancy for a 3rd Line Field Engineer within our dynamic Technologies division. Take the next step in your career and apply for our new role.
