IWD 2022: The Amazing Women at Freemans Event Partners

Ahead of International Women’s Day 2022 we asked our female staff members to talk a bit about themselves, their background, and what they would like to achieve by next year. We’ve compiled some of the brilliant things they have to say into a blog post.

Starting with Melissa, she hopes to establish her own voice the male-dominated events industry before next IWD.

Georgia has worked with us for around 9 months so far and has big ambitions. Between now and next IWD, she wants to keep working towards her goal of Account Manager and put herself forward for any external training opportunities.

Stacey works in our Logistics division as a Buying Assistant. She came from a completely different background, working in jewellery design and manufacture and fashion buying.

Next up, we have our Head of Marketing Justine who is a governor at her children’s school, brings her business knowledge to support education even though funding is in dire straits.

By next IWD 2023, Carrie hopes to build on her findings and research to help tackle the issue of waste management.

Our Sales Office Manager Claire volunteers in her spare time at a rabbit recue centre, taking care of admin, cleaning and counting in and out. She is also a trustee for a Cheltenham Animal Shelter, advising on the retail side of the business, ensuring resources are utilised to raise the most money.

Our Marketing Executive Beth is currently finishing her studies at the University of Gloucestershire.

Sarah has worked at Freemans Event Partners for nearly 4 years. Throughout her career she has worked for a brewery, stationery company and for a training provider. Her personal highlight was to be promoted to Team Leader while expecting her first child.

Eve has been with us for 5 months as Sales Co-Ordinator, previously working as a Sales Executive at the Jockey Club. Her goals before next IWD are focused around sustainability.

Kerrie has worked for Freemans Event Partners for over 5 years and is currently our Warehouse Manager. Before joining us, she was a Logistics Operations Manager for an international company.

Meet Jessica who is an Event Resourcing Administrator at Bars Division, she’s worked with us on and off for just over 2 years.

Last but not least, we have our Head of HR Jo! She has worked in a variety of sectors including food, automotive, aerospace and financial services, many of these male dominated.
