Our 2018

| Owain Jevons

What a year it’s been! 2018 has flown by, and we’re so chuffed with everything we’ve achieved.

We launched the Union15 Bar & Grill on 6th October as our first semi-permanent outlet within the grounds of Twickenham Stadium. The outlet is unique within the events industry and represents a major step forward in terms of scale and quality of the food-to-go offering. Significant features of the new bar & grill include considerable flexibility with menus, restaurant quality food, a backwall of digital screens, card-only payment facilities, and an upstairs seating area.

For the first time, during the Autumn Internationals all food and drink outlets around the concourse of Twickenham Stadium were completely cashless. Our technologies team worked tirelessly to ensure concessionaires were able to take advantage of the latest card payment technology, in turn reducing queue times and increasing spend per head.

We were also proud to provide bars and technologies services to Victorious festival for the first time this year, and, thanks to a dedicated crew and best-in-class bars service, managed to reduce queuing times from 2 hours in 2017 to a maximum of 10 minutes in 2018! The bars team also pulled off a stunning series of Oktoberfest events at 16 venues across 4 weekends.

In other news…

  • We made our first foray into mainland Europe at the Ryder Cup in Paris this September.
  • We had our busiest ever Formula One at Silverstone racing circuit, with over 150 outlets serving food and drinks to over 300,000 consumers.
  • To keep customers cool over summer, we created some stunning container bars.
  • We’ve welcomed over 62 new folks to the Freemans Event Partners family this year.
