Stock Manager

Freemans Event Partners are the leading provider of event and stadium public catering in the UK. We operate at over 400 events each year, working in partnership with prestigious sporting and entertainment venues such as Silverstone Circuit and Twickenham Stadium and have established excellent supplier relationships with market-leading partners across numerous platforms.

We are currently looking for a Stock Manager to join our Bars team. As we approach our busy season, this role will be imperative in ensuring all stock is managed, tracked, and accounted for both at Head Office Warehouse and in the event arena. The Stock Manager will be responsible for overseeing the stock for each venue (GRFC and Twickenham) to ensure that accurate records are kept, and stock is utilised in the most efficient manner as well as planning and managing the logistical movement of stock between suppliers/warehouse and each event location ensuring that adequate teams are in place to carry out the stock process on site.

The main duties of the Stock Manager will include; 


  • Liaise with the Stock Analyst F&B, and Event Managers for all incoming and outgoing stock to and from events.
  • Plan and execute movement of stock to multiple event sites at any one-time including refrigeration whilst onsite.
  • Ensure must-stocks for Brands are always adhered to, whilst engaging with the Stock Analyst to ensure that the most cost-efficient stock is utilised.
  • Assist with setting of budgets for events, (i.e. forklifts, lorries, buggies) liaising with the Operations team for a joined-up approach.


  • Liaise with Event Managers and the Head of Operations to manage on site stock and ensure we have sufficient quantity to fulfil demand at all times.
  • Provide support to on-site teams as required, including the provision of emergency stock deliveries and ad hoc maintenance.
  • Responsibility for onsite logistical processes, ensuring all stock and assets are accounted for at all times.
  • Communicate with the Head of Operations at all times on the progress of the event, especially if the plan has deviated from its original course.
  • Recording of all stock movements internally and externally at all times (i.e. supplying of drinks to Artists/Other bar operators on site).

Post Event

  • Produce accurate paperwork to report on gains/losses/stock costs across the category.
  • Deliver and report on performance against agreed targets, KPI’s and budgets after all events.
  • Work alongside the Administrator to account for all stock movements accurately and timely within Sage.


  • Oversee and ensure that all onsite and warehouse stock counts are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure group policy and procedures are maintained through Stock & Warehouse team.
  • Ensuring correct PPE is worn on site and in the warehouse by all staff.
  • Ensure all stock records are up to date and provide monthly reports on warehouse stock and depot wastage.
  • Develop simple, efficient systems and processes to utilise.
  • Ensure the stock processes are understood and adhered to by the wider Operations team.
  • Ensure costs are kept in line with stock budget requirements.
  • Keep Warehouse holding to a minimum agreed level.
  • Take into consideration sustainable solutions and best practices to ensure we take responsibility for reducing our impact on the environment and support the companywide sustainability strategy.
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of events and the business.

We are looking for candidates with the following knowledge and experience; 


  • Knowledge of events industry and supply chain from retail perspective, with solid experience in a stock/logistics role.
  • A good level of product knowledge and industry understanding.
  • Strong communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to forecast and manage budgets.
  • Experience of undertaking manual work in an outdoor environment.
  • Current UK driving licence.


  • Warehouse and Logistics experience.
  • Sage 50 experience.
