Staffing and Recruitment Assistant


Who We Are

Freemans Event Partners are the leading provider of event and stadium public catering in the UK. We operate at over 400 events each year, working in partnership with prestigious sporting and entertainment venues such as Silverstone Circuit and Twickenham Stadium and have established excellent supplier relationships with market-leading partners across numerous platforms

Reporting to the Head of Staffing within our Bars Division, you will manage the recruitment and onboarding process for all casual staff via various channels and attraction methods. Building on our existing database of casual staff, reducing the requirement for agency staff at events.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support the Head of Staffing in the sourcing of external staff via multiple recruitment methods and initiatives.

· Developing staffing recruitment initiatives, policies and processes ensuring they are appropriate for the target audience – amending strategies as per relevant event and location.

· Provide a high quality and professional response to all telephone and email enquiries from applicants.

· Contacting casual employees via telephone and email to determine availability and booking them into events.

· Undertake registration of all event workers ensuring that they are legally entitled to work, creating accurate individual profiles while maintaining a strict level of confidentiality when processing personal information and documentation.

· Support the induction and training of event workers, producing materials and providing briefings to ensure staff are fully informed and competent within their role.

· Engage with the event workforce through regular contact via social media, newsletters and via a staffing app, keeping them up-to-date with company news and initiatives, obtaining feedback and suggestions.

· Create documents, reports and presentations as required to support recruitment, training and communication.

· Provide remote support to the wider staffing team at events around the UK, registering and on-boarding staff, supporting allocation and assisting with briefings, incentives and welfare – may involve attending ad hoc larger events.

· Take into consideration sustainable solutions and best practices to ensure we take responsibility for reducing our impact on the environment and support the companywide sustainability strategy.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

Essential

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective business and customer relationships.

· Considerable experience in a fast-paced recruitment and/or event staffing role.

· Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise appropriately.

· Strong administration skills with an eye for detail.

· Fully competent in MS Office

· Confident telephone manner.

· High regard for confidentiality.

Desirable

· Knowledge and understanding of the event/bars industry.
