Sales Executive

 

Freemans Event Partners are the leading provider of event & stadium public catering in the UK; we operate at over 400 events a year, working in partnership with prestigious sporting and entertainment venues such as Silverstone and Wembley, and enjoying excellent supplier relationships with market-leading brands. We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding business, with a focus on continuous improvement and growth.

Our Logistcs division is looking for an individual to join their team, as a Sales Executive. This customer focussed Sales Executive will utilise their experience in Sales and/or Account Management to develop and maintain the customer base within the Logistics division whilst supporting the Sales & Commercial Manager.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with new and existing customers to build and maintain strong, long-term and professional relationships
  • Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries, ensuring customers are quoted and orders are processed promptly
  • Listening to customer needs, creating detailed proposal documents and presenting them appropriately to make ‘the sale’
  • Negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
  • Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on buying trends
  • Aiming to achieve monthly and annual targets
  • Reporting sales and monitoring the progress of key accounts and products
  • Organising and attending on-site visits with new and existing customers
  • Liaising with the procurement team to identify opportunities, negotiate pricing and monitor the progression of a sale

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Essential

  • Experience in professional sales within the B2B market of a similar industry
  • Knowledge of Sage 50
  • Excellent IT skills across the Microsoft Office programs
  • A good listener with the ability to identify key information quickly
  • The ability to deliver high activity and work independently

Desirable

  • A Business Management qualification
  • Commercial awareness and understanding

Days of Work: 5 in 7 days per week

Location: Gloucester and various UK event sites

Contract Type: Permenant
