Boomtown Fair is the runaway leader in the immersive festival experience market. A sprawling event site plays host to 55,000 visitors each day, many choosing to set up camp in one of the many districts that pop up to create the ‘town’.
A very youthful crowd – predominantly C1DE 18-35 year olds – descend on the Matterley Bowl Estate in Winchester to cast aside the everyday and embrace the Boomtown culture. Freemans Event Partners Bars operated 22 bars across 11 districts, all with elaborate theming to enhance the experience.
Bar staff were keen to get involved, donning costumes to become pirates, wild western cowboys and gals, 1950’s gentlemen and flapper girls…there were even a few Super Mario bar staff running around the Chinatown district – extremely appropriate for the bar adjacent to the ‘Dubtendo’ DJ box and stage.
Alongside our crowd-pleasing regular ‘firm favourites’ Becks Vier and Stella Cidre, Freemans Event Partners supported the launch of Hoola Hooch, a tropical sibling to the original Lemon Brew. Cans of Hooch were sold on all mainstream bars, as well as in a dedicated area. Hobgoblin engaged with residents by offering novelty Hobgoblin ears with every purchase, whilst Chandon and Belvedere stocked the VIP SkyBar in the trendy Mayfair district.
Boomtown really needs to be seen to be believed. If you’ve not visited before, drop us a line and we’ll take you on the tour of a lifetime at the festival next year.
